Well this week was momentous. The Stephanie Perkins cover redesign scandal made some pretty major waves on Thursday and I added my own opinion to the rather large hate-fest that took place on Twitter. Then last night I shared my specific thoughts on the issue—basically STAY AWAY from Laini Taylor.
I was also interviewed by Ashley at booknook, regarding switching from Blogger to WordPress. Check it out!
Oh! And for the first time ever, I requested print ARCs from a publisher. I didn’t start blogging for free books so I don’t much care and was never motivated enough to do it, but it was one of my goals for 2o13 and it’s nice to say I’ve tried.
And that was my week.

Uh oh! The pressure is totally on right now. I have to LOVE all these books or I will feel sad. *thinks motivational thoughts*
Hooray for requesting an ARC! That’s one of my goals for the year, too, but I can’t muster up the courage to actually do it yet. Oh well. In time, I suppose.
Faking Faith does intrigue me. I haven’t seen a book on that odd subject before. Hmm.

Kudos to you for asking for ARC’s. You snagged some awesome titles from the library. I read and wrote my review for Ten Tiny Breaths and it will post later this month, so i am off to see what you thought.

If I Stay is such a brilliant book. I keep meaning to re-read it! I hope you enjoy it and all your new books.
And good luck with your ARC request! I refreshed my inbox over and over the first time I requested. I was so nervous, hah.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I’ve just been dying to ask — how are you able to post so many book reviews in a week!? I’m on the slow side for reading & blogging and 7 reviews would likely take me nearly 7 weeks! I’m honestly just curious — do you have a lot of reviews scheduled ahead of time or are you just a speedy reader? I wish I knew your secret! My TBR list would be so much more manageable…

Haha, that’s funny. I actually get asked that question a lot, and there’s really no answer. I just do what I do.
I read anywhere from 6-10 books a week, and I write reviews for 99% of the books I read. I only post 1 review a day, though, because any more than that would kill everyone’s readers and inboxes. I’m generally scheduled about a week in advance, though, but I read just as many books as I post reviews for, so it’s a self-replenishing supply. Basically I’m a quick reader and I always write reviews for my books. And voila: 7 reviews a week.
Thanks for letting me in on your secret — which isn’t much of a secret I guess! I don’t think I could ever read that fast, but I’m sure you get to read a lot of awesome books that way

Haha, I get asked that question a lot too! Reading quickly is just something that I’ve mastered over time!

It’s funny, because as much as I would love physical ARCs, I haven’t requested any because I’m worried I’ll feel too much pressure to read certain books at certain times. I’m currently going through my NetGalley reads, and after I finish them all, I’m hoping to go on a self-imposed requesting ban, until my TBR pile is cleaned out! WIsh me luck, lol
I hope you like If I Stay; it’s just beautiful!

Haha, yeah I can totally see how much pressure physical ARCs could be. Especially unsolicited ones. I never got a response from the publicist I emailed though, so I’m guessing I was rejected. But mayhap books will show up at my door in a few weeks. Who knows! Either way, I’m not invested in getting review copies. Just something fun to have under my belt. But if my TBR runs away with me, I might freak out. :O
What Happens Next is really good. I still haven’t read it but heard great things about it.

And I haven’t requested any physical arc’s either, like Kelly I don’t want to feel to much pressured but that is one of my 2013 goal too and I’m kinda nervous about it. Good Luck with your request
